Upon Review – with strong experience Patient Types: Neonate to Geriatrics - all ED diagnoses seen Heavy Mental Health population Invasive Neuro, STEMI requiring Cath Lab – stabilized and shipped out to St. Luke’s Trauma, include but not limited to: GSW, Stabbings, Falls, MVC Patient Ratios: Day & Night – 1:4 (acuity based) Fast Track - 1:6 Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC Skills required 3 years of ED experience in fast paced ED Cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, basic knowledge of critical care drips and med administration, NIHSS experience – cannot obtain prior to start, TPA administration, blood administration, procedural sedation, code blue experience Triage experience (strongly preferred) Support on the Unit: Unit secretary – 24/7 ED Tech, 24/7 – able to draw blood, glucose checks Charge nurse – may rarely have lower acuity assignment dependent on staffing Phlebotomy – may respond in Trauma’s; may assist with blood cultures or difficult sticks RT, 24/7 ED Physicians, 24/7 Mid-Level providers, 24/7 ED Educator OT, PT, ST Security – Locked unit and home base is in lobby of ED Central and bedside telemetry monitoring Charting System/Equipment: EPIC Alaris Pyxis Floating: N/A Orientation: (2) 12 hr shifts on unit Scheduling: Shift times: dependent on requisition 1900-0730 Weekend rotation – every other Can we approve time off.
