Platform Engineer

Insight Global is seeking multiple Platform Engineers to join a contract opportunity for a leading financial services client. This team aims to build the tools and foundational technology that internal engineers can leverage to build applications better - faster. The end goal is to integrate public cloud solutions into the organization in a safe, compliant, flexible, and user-friendly manner. The ideal candidate has led the design and development of cloud-native applications written in Golang and has extensive experience in DevOps, including building CI/CD pipelines and setting up cloud hosting environments. Engineers will also provide mentorship to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Additionally, the candidates should excel in collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud services. Must-haves - Experience of platform engineering experience - Experience developing cloud-native applications in Golang - DevOps experience; comfortable building CI/CD pipelines and setting up cloud hosting environments - Deep familiarity with AWS and it's services and architecture - Tooling experience with Kubernetes and Docker - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools - Strong background in test-driven deployments and automation - Excellent communication and documentation skills Plusses - Experience with ArgoCD - Experience with Terraform
