Job Description

Cure Talent are delighted to be partnering with a groundbreaking development stage wound care company based in Birmingham to find an exceptional Laboratory Scientist specialising in Formulation Chemistry. Join them in driving technological advancements in wound care! As the new Laboratory Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in the formulation of new products where you will be conducting research into mechanisms of action, characterising the physical and chemical properties of newly developed products. Key Responsibilities: Formulation and optimisation of new and existing products. Conduct research to understand how the product interacts with wounds and the body and how well it promotes healing. Design and execute experiments to evaluate the properties of formulated products. Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses. Utilise a variety of analytical techniques to characterise product formulations. Perform quality control and calibrate equipment if necessary. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in an appropriate scientific field (e.g., chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering). Proven experience of working in a laboratory with new product formulation/development (In Industry experience is highly beneficial). Strong theoretical understanding of chemical principles and material science. Proven experience in the use of benchtop analytical techniques and instrumentation. Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations in different units of measurement.
