Interim Director of Finance Bids and Tenders - Remote

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join a leading not for profit organisation on a 6-month fully remote contract. In this critical role, you will lead on new projects and development initiatives, overseeing bids and tenders while ensuring commercial viability and risk mitigation. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage new projects and development activities, with a key focus on bids and tenders. Utilise your extensive commercial and financial experience to drive successful outcomes. Partner with senior operational, strategic, and commercial leads to build strong, collaborative relationships. Formulate, justify, and implement effective methodologies for bids and tenders. Challenge assumptions, ask insightful and commercially relevant questions to ensure success. Assess and manage risks within financial models, ensuring they are robust and aligned with organisational objectives. Demonstrate a deep understanding of large contracts and their commercial realities, ensuring best practice is followed. Identify and delegate technical specialist roles and tasks while maintaining strong oversight and review processes. Key Skills and Experience: Extensive experience in senior commercial and financial roles within complex organisations. Proven ability to lead on complex bids and tenders, with a focus on risk assessment and commercial strategy. Strong understanding of large contracts and their commercial dynamics. Demonstrated experience in partnership-building and collaborating across various functional teams. Ability to critically evaluate financial models, methodologies, and assumptions to ensure accuracy and alignment with objectives. Ability to delegate tasks effectively while maintaining strong oversight.
