Mechanical Design Engineer

Blueprint Recruitment are looking to speak with experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineers to join a global engineering consultancy in London, on a long-term (6-12 month) contract basis. The selected candidate will get the opportunity to work on a mixture of exciting Residential and Commercial projects across the UK and Ireland and will be required to attend the office on a hybrid basis. Key Responsibilities: -Design mechanical systems including HVAC, hot and cold water, and public health services. -Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams across commercial and residential projects. -Produce technical drawings, calculations, and specifications using industry-standard software. -Attend project meetings and coordinating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. -Ensure compliance with UK building regulations and sustainability standards. Key Requirements: -Proven experience in mechanical design within the building services sector. -Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical calculation tools (e.g. IES, Hevacomp). -Excellent understanding of current building regulations and mechanical services design standards. -Able to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
