Discover Your Next Role As a Senior Logistics Officer at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you will report to the Transport Operations Manager and play a key role in overseeing and managing the cane supply arrangements and logistics operations within the Herbert region. You will ensure that all operations are aligned with the business plan, contributing to the efficient and timely delivery of cane supply. This position will be based at Victoria Mill, located in the Herbert Region, nestled amidst lush landscapes, from rainforests to fertile plains, this area offers an affordable lifestyle with a strong community spirit. Your Role in Action Lead Environmental, Health, and Safety Initiatives: Guide employees in participating in and supporting activities focused on environmental, health, and safety improvements, ensuring a commitment to these crucial areas across the team Foster a Strong Performance Culture: Support and nurture a high-performance culture by providing clear operational direction, leadership, and guidance to ensure team success and accountability Supervise Best Practice Logistics Standards: Oversee the implementation and adherence to best practice logistics standards, ensuring operational efficiency and excellence in all logistics processes Drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Encourage and champion continuous improvement efforts across the team, fostering innovation and finding ways to optimize processes for better outcomes Maintain Strong Relationships with Growers and Contractors: Collaborate with growers and harvesting contractors to address and resolve any issues, while maintaining positive, productive relationships that support long-term success Your Winning Combination Our ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, Agriculture, or equivalent practical experience. You will bring at least 5 years of proven experience managing logistics operations in a diverse environment. Proficiency in the MS Office suite and logistics, maintenance, and procurement software is essential, while familiarity with SAP and knowledge of the sugar industry would be highly desirable. The ability to work effectively under pressure, particularly during the demanding sugarcane crushing season, is also critical for this role.
