We have an East Coast footprint and the ability to provide both design and construction services. We are dedicated to delivering high standard end-to-end construction services including roads, construction, fitout, services, and earthworks. We work smart, safely, and always as a team. We are seeking two Foreman/Site Managers to run two separate projects located on Jervis Bay. Both roles will run for approximately six months and are offered on a maximum term fixed contract basis (with possible longer term opportunities). Role 1 commences mid April and Role 2 commences early July. About the roles Role 1 Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be overseeing a civil, services and building works project at Beecroft Weapons Range (north Jervis Bay), and will be responsible for the daily supervision of subcontractors and site works to meet project requirements. Role 2 Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be overseeing a marine, civil, services and building works project at HMAS Creswell (south Jervis Bay), and will be responsible for the daily supervision of subcontractors and site works to meet project requirements. The successful applicant will have a solid civil, services and general building works understanding. They will be self-driven, organised, have excellent attention to detail, be safety focused, be an excellent communicator and be willing to pick up a shovel if that is required to get the job done. Tasks and responsibilities Responsibilities include: Liaise daily with the Project Manager, Liaise daily with the client site representatives, Manage subcontractors and trades in conjunction with the Project Manager, Heavily involved in the planning and coordination of activities and inspections, Close supervision of site activities, Completion of QA checks including Inspection Test Plans, Ensure that work standards are maintained, Ensure compliance with site induction requirements, Ensure compliance with safe work practices and procedures on site, Identify, avoid and, where necessary, report WHS and environmental impacts and risks. What we're looking for A trade or tertiary background/qualification in Building, Construction or Engineering. Experience of a minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role. A proactive and solutions-focused approach. High attention to detail. Well-developed construction planning skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with people at all levels. Sound knowledge of construction trades and ability to assess quality of workmanship.
