We’re currently seeking a FLOW MANAGER (CUSTOMS) Main responsibilities and duties: Manage and provides expert advice and counsel concerning the requirements and obligations of exporting and importing products Manage according with all the laws and maintain OEA, C-TPAT, VAT, Annex 24 (IMMEX) certifications involved in the process and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Draw up the transport and brokers budget and ensure it is followed and observed. Develops and implements operating procedures for ensuring adequate import / export control levels by company employees in affected functional areas (e.g. Procurement, Manufacturing, Product Support, Program Management, Finance); reviews process worksheets and broker instructions for accuracy of import / export information being presented to Government regulators Manages company service providers (i.e. customs brokers) according to US customs regulation in the various ports of entry in their handling of company import declarations to assure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. proper valuation, classification, origin, Special Treatment Programs, record keeping, quantity, required supporting documentation or declarations) Advise and project management on tariff cost savings opportunities as it relates to duty drawback, tariff engineering, changing product origin, first sale for export, cost bundling and others Monitor, measure and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to import/export activities Provides risk analysis of Company trade policies and initiatives Develop strategies and maintain cost efficient in brokers, forwarders & transport Attend and assist in customs audits Consult and team coach on foreign trade questions Responsible for directing, coordinating, planning and overseeing tasks and operations involving transportation activities according with the purchasing policies Requirements: Qualifications and Experience Business Administration, Foreign trade degree strengthened by experience in customs operations. Professional abilities Management skills, rigour and discipline. SAP management English command Technical knowledge Logistics and foreign trade compliance Significant experience leading and designing import compliance programs in the consumer products industry for international multi-site organizations Management and maintain IMMEX Regulations IVA certifications management and annex 31 Inventory management and annex 24 Duty/tax, law regulations and SAT audits C-TPAT Management OEA Management Experience in one or more Enterprises Resource Planning (ERP) SAP Localization: Ixtaczoquitlan plant (Orizaba zone), México Contract type: Permanent Department: Customs Starting date: ASAP If you are interested in this role and believe that you meet the requirements, please forward your CV and cover letter at: hr.orz@na.akwel-automotive.com
