Solution Architect and System Engineer, Naples Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Solution Architect and System Engineer for its Naples, Italy location. The role involves designing innovative systems to automate and support verification and validation of onboard systems. Job Responsibilities: Participate in designing systems for automation and validation. Develop conceptual projects and conduct technical feasibility analyses. Collaborate across departments for project development and integration. Define and analyze functional and non-functional requirements. Design software architecture. Contribute to network design, protocols, and security configurations in collaboration with IT. Prepare technical documents and reports. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience managing software projects, ensuring deadlines, quality, and cost adherence. Proficiency in web applications with high data throughput and Linux-based software development. Technical expertise in Web technologies (J2EE, .NET), RDBMS, NoSQL, open-source frameworks, network protocols (VPN, TCP/UDP, MQTT, REST), and embedded systems programming (C/C++, Python). Knowledge of testing and qualification processes; experience in developing complex systems from concept to deployment is a plus. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Education and Language Skills: Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. Fluent in English (written and spoken).
