JOB SUMMARY The Sr Industrial Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing integrated production and service delivery systems that ensure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control within the production site. The Sr IE will focus on profitability, effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and the continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform responsibilities similar to an Industrial Engineer III, but for larger or more complex products, processes, or workcells. Propose and lead cross-functional projects primarily within a workcell. Design optimized human interfaces for SMT and Backend/DF areas, including: Raw material delivery, storage, and line feed systems. Product flow and online material handling systems. WIP management, sizing, and buffer storage systems. Ergonomic workstation design and layout. Process optimization. Workcell layout. 5S housekeeping techniques. Develop, sustain, and improve all assembly processes. Conduct time study analyses. Lead yield improvement programs. Manage box build quoting and products. Support systems such as SAP, MES, IEDB. Serve as SME or support other IE categories, including: Work Measurement Systems and Metrics Ergonomics / Workstation and line design Capacity Sizing PFMEA, DFA Fixtures and Tools Simulation Quoting Warehousing Perform other duties as assigned. JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Understanding and application of a broad range of industrial engineering tools such as work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research, etc. Knowledge of Jabil’s global strategies and site capabilities. Strong financial and analytical skills. Proven success in change management, continuous improvement, and cost reduction initiatives. Excellent communication skills. Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office suite, including Visio, Project, and AutoCAD.
