Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

We're Hiring : Sr. Network Engineer (C2H : : 10 : - Provide continuous monitoring and management of the network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability. - Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify potential issues and performance bottlenecks. - Drive and implement effective break-fix solutions for Priority 1 (P1) and Priority 2 (P2) network incidents, ensuring minimal downtime. - Perform thorough root cause analysis (RCA) for network outages and recurring issues. - Collaborate effectively with global teams across different time zones and cultures to address network challenges and implement solutions. - Liaise with external vendors for hardware and software support, upgrades, and issue resolution. - Implement and maintain network configurations that ensure high levels of stability and uptime. - Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to network availability. - Lead and manage major network projects, including hardware refreshes, site expansions, and technology upgrades. - Develop project plans, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure timely and successful project completion. - Serve as the go-to technical expert for complex network troubleshooting, issue resolution, and proactive monitoring initiatives. - Provide expert-level support for network-related inquiries and problems. - Identify opportunities to automate repetitive network tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible) to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors. - Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools. - Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures. - Mentor junior network engineers, providing technical guidance and support to help them grow their skills and knowledge. - Potentially lead small teams or specific work streams within larger Skills : - Routing Protocols : Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP. - Switching Technologies : Deep understanding and practical experience with Cisco and/or Aruba switching platforms, including VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, and other Layer 2/Layer 3 technologies. - VPN Technologies : Extensive experience in configuring and troubleshooting various VPN technologies, including IPsec and SSL VPN. - SD-WAN : Proven experience with SD-WAN solutions and vendors (e.g., Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela or Meraki), VMware SD-WAN (Velocloud)). - Cloud Networking : Solid understanding and practical experience with networking concepts in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, including VPCs, virtual networks, security groups, and cloud connectivity options. - Security Devices : Hands-on experience with configuring and managing network security devices such as firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA/Firepower), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS). - Load Balancing : Expertise in configuring and managing F5 load balancers (LTM/GTM). - DNS and IP Address Management : Strong experience with Infoblox for DNS and IP address management. - Network Monitoring Tools : Proficiency in using network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Cisco Prime, Aruba AirWave). - Automation and Scripting : Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, or other automation tools for network configuration and Skills : - CCNP or higher level Cisco certification (e.g., CCIE). - Experience with other network vendors beyond Cisco and Aruba. - Knowledge of network security best practices and frameworks. - Experience with network analytics and performance monitoring tools. - Familiarity with ITIL framework for incident and change Skills : - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to Ability to follow established incident management, change management, and problem management processes. - Strong documentation skills with attention to detail. - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. - 10 years of progressive experience in network engineering roles, with a significant focus on enterprise-level networks. - Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network Strong understanding of network technologies and protocols. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
