Financial Controller - Manufacturing

Our client is a well known manufacturing company which manufactures a range of household appliances. They are looking to hire a Financial Controller to join their head office in Crawley. This is an office based role, 5 days a week. Duties Production of financial information including profit and loss accounts, sales & margin reports, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis etc Assistance in the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting Ongoing review of cash flow and production of forecasts Analysing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs Production of annual statutory accounts & liaison with Auditors. Responsible for all activities related to Regulatory/HMRC compliance issues (VAT, Payroll, Intrastat, WEEE etc) Balance sheet account reconciliations and review of intangible assets Treasury functions, bank reconciliations, credit control etc. Production of Consolidated Accounts and complete the necessary Covenant calculations as required by the Bank Ensure compliance with all financial regulations Manage Finance Department of 4 staff covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll/HR including day-to-day communication and motivation as well as succession planning and performance management Other tasks as required by the Directors Requirements Qualified Accountant with suitable experience Working knowledge of Sage X3 (essential) Proven technical ability Understanding of modern management information systems Ability to manage, delegate, motivate, monitor and control team activity Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management Intellectual with a strong commercial acumen
