IT Security Specialist – Quant Trading Quant Capital is seeking a skilled IT Security Specialist to join a prestigious client in the quantitative trading space. Your Role: As an IT Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the firm’s IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include: Deploying, managing, and enhancing security controls at scale. Leading vulnerability management efforts, ensuring effective detection and mitigation. Offering security guidance and support to IT operations and broader technical teams. Developing technical and procedural solutions to address security concerns in collaboration with engineering teams. Contributing to the refinement of security playbooks, operational procedures, and technical security standards. Ideal Candidate Profile: 4-10 years of experience in IT security or operations, with a strong foundation in Windows environments. Hands-on expertise in managing Windows and macOS platforms. Deep understanding of Windows-based security threats and mitigation techniques. Strong problem-solving skills, including log analysis, trend detection, and system monitoring. Experience with enterprise-wide deployment of endpoint security solutions (e.g., anti-malware, EDR, application control, log aggregation, host-based firewalls, and disk encryption). Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, solution-driven approach. Proficiency with Windows command-line tools PowerShell experience is a plus. Familiarity with macOS and mobile device security fundamentals is advantageous. Fluent in English.
