Head of Finance

Citadel Source are pleased to be supporting a sizeable, defence business in the recruitment of a new Divisional Head of Finance for Projects , this role offers flexible working, with an office 'base’ but with periodical travel across their UK sites. This role will be a mix of BAU finance, but with a commercial slant, supporting the divisions commercial activity in winning business for new contracts within the sector from major suppliers. The role This will be a role that works both internally within finance, managing the divisional finance team and working alongside the Group Finance team, and externally, being client facing, alongside non-finance stakeholders including the Group Sales Director, Chief Commercial Officer and the Lead Project Director. The role will provide support and financial information for a realm of commercial activity, including, large, complex bids, the acquisition of major projects as well as the continued delivery of existing ventures. As the Divisional Head of Finance - Projects, your role will include but not be limited to: Supporting the divisional senior management team in better understanding the organisations financial position and improving financial performance. Managing, leading and developing a team of finance professionals and ensuring the integrity of day-to-day finance and timely monthly management accounts Oversight of budgeting and forecasting process for the division Leading support for all financial business cases, tenders, contracts and all other commercial finance areas Working with other divisions and group finance to harmonise and improve processes across the business and elevating best practice Review of project documentation to fully understand the financial requirements and impact of each individual piece of work Responsible for the production of suitable financial models to support internal decision making and external commercial negotiations Support business leaders by providing insight and challenge to develop winning initiatives and business cases Liaise with wider business teams to ensure financial position includes all current requirements and Group positions Review of bid and project documentation to fully understand the financial requirements and impact on financials of non-financial clauses Other ad-hoc duties as they arise Package and benefits Salary of circa £100,000 Bonus of circa 20-30% depending on personal and business performance 10% Pension Hybrid/Remote Working (with some need to be in office for financial support on large projects) Private Healthcare Citadel Source are the sole supplier for this role.
