Job Overview TikTok is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to enhance our search algorithms for our global e-commerce platform. The role involves improving search quality, designing ranking systems, and developing solutions for supply-demand matching and business growth, using state-of-the-art ML, NLP, CV, and multi-modal technologies. Responsibilities Enhance search quality and user experience by optimizing query analysis, text relevance, and understanding video content for multi-modal matching. Design and implement end-to-end ranking systems to improve shopping interest models and increase GMV. Address challenges in supply-demand matching, business cold start, and sustainable growth. Collaborate within a team, applying knowledge in statistics, scripting, and programming. Work with deployment platforms for model integration. Qualifications Industry experience in machine learning with a focus on user experience. Bachelor’s or higher in computer science or related field. Strong coding skills, data structures, and algorithms knowledge. Excellent analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Self-driven with good communication skills and business understanding. Publication record or ACM-ICPC medals are a plus.
