Vice President, Payments Product Manager, Global Transaction Banking Department - SMBC Job Summary - SMBC Global Transaction Banking Department (GTBD) in Asia Pacific Division (APD) is driving payment innovation to deliver next-generation digital payment capabilities for corporate clients. This Payments Product Manager will play a critical role in defining Payments business requirement for Corporate Internet Banking platform, run Payments Product commercialization and play at vital role in inception of Product / User Acceptance Testing Center of Excellence framework. Reporting to the Payments Product Lead, this role will collaborate with Sales, Operations, Front office, and Country Teams to define requirement, develop roadmaps, and implement payment products that address client needs, regulatory requirements, and market trends. This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused professional with expertise in payments, collections, and product management to lead critical initiatives within the APAC region. Job Responsbility & Requirement - Payments SME for Corporate Internet Banking Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and define business requirements for the corporate internet banking portal, with a specific emphasis on payments and collections features. Product / User Acceptance Testing Lead the establishment of a robust product / user acceptance testing COE framework that incorporating industry best practices, governance, strategies, and methodology. Collaborate closely with Operations, IT, and cross-functional teams to ensure that all products undergo thorough testing, gathering feedback to refine functionality and user experience before launch. Facilitate training sessions and materials for internal stakeholders and clients to ensure understanding of product capabilities and testing processes. Product Commercialization Develop pricing strategies and commercialization plans for payment products, ensuring profitability while remaining competitive in the marketplace. Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling product positioning, messaging, and promotional strategies that resonate with target audiences. Establish, Monitor and Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of payment products, regularly reporting on performance to executive leadership. Product Development Develop, Manage and implement a comprehensive payment product that aligns with the organization's overall business objectives, focusing on building new and enhancing payments and collections product offering. Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, particularly for cross-border payments, ensuring that all products meet market demands, user experience standards, and regulatory compliance. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and technologies in the payments landscape, making data-driven recommendations for product enhancements and innovations. Stakeholder Collaboration Foster strong relationships with external partners, vendors and internal teams across Sales, Operations, Service, Implementation and IT including Local branch team to enhance product offerings and drive innovation in payment solutions. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred. Extensive experience (7 years) in product management within the payments sector, with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing payment products. Prior experience of working on Corporate Internet Banking Payment product role. Prior experience in establishing and managing a User Acceptance Testing COE. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive product initiatives, further capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
