Job Description: Reporting directly to the Head of IT Infrastructure, the candidate will be responsible for setting up and managing overall network and security processes, supporting the IT team in planning, executing, and monitoring related activities. Job Main Accountabilities: Define network & security policies and standards Define and promote network & security projects Prevent potential networking and security issues Root cause analysis on networking related Incident/Problem Support IT teams in understanding standard checks and tools Act as single point of contact for network security issues Forward and communicate escalations to the supervisor Manage and prioritize issues Ensure network security documents/artefacts are documented, maintained, and stored Professional requirements: Strong knowledge of Networking architectures and perimeter security Strong knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity infrastructures Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP), routing/switching/load balancing processes Excellent knowledge of AAA processes and authentication protocols (LDAP, Radius, Certification authority) Strong knowledge of client and site-to-site VPNs based on SSL and IPSec protocols SSL Certificate management and deployment Expertise in Checkpoint firewall management Expertise in Cisco Router and Switch management Good knowledge of F5 BIG-IP Technology Strong analytical skills Effective planning and organization skills Copes well under pressure and with uncertainty Good verbal and written communication skills (Italian mandatory, English is a plus) Product certification in Networking/Security is a plus Minimum 5 years experience in IT/Networking/Security Place of work: Rome/Hybrid Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Octo Telematics by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “Security Expert” roles.
