The Company is set to grow, confirming its position on the market as engineering services and small-scale electrolyser provider and developing large-scale innovative electrolysis technology for the Group. The Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer will be responsible for designing and comparing automation and instrumentation equipment, considering technical and commercial aspects. Their role extends to coordinating the commissioning of automation components, overseeing technical procurement and handling order processing for various materials. Their role will also include developing detailed design documentation while ensuring alignment with other departments. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform comparisons for automation and instrumentation equipment, considering both technical and commercial aspects. Negotiate with customers, suppliers, and market partners on technical and commercial matters. Coordinate the commissioning of automation components and systems, ensuring the setup and functionality meet project standards. Handle technical procurement and order processing for measuring devices, valves, automation systems, and related materials such as cables and assembly materials. Review manufacturer documentation up to the final inspection. Conduct technical clarifications with suppliers and market partners for global customer orders. Conduct the design and implementation of field instrumentation, process control, safety systems, integrated control systems, package control systems, and fire & gas systems. Ensure that interfaces with other disciplines are consistent and aligned. Develop and produce both basic and detailed design documentation including database configurations, data sheets, specifications, control strategies, network architectures, cause and effect matrices, detailed functional analysis, programming, and cabling plans. Experience: At least 8 years of experience as an Instrumentation & Control engineer, preferably in the renewable energy or chemical sector. Practical experience in the planning, design, and procurement of sensors (field devices), actuators (valves, drives), and automation systems (process control technology) for chemical industry plants. Completed training in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation engineering, or are a state-certified technician in the aforementioned areas. Experience with EU directives (CE, ATEX) preferred and with hazardous area codes & standards Basic knowledge of the renewable and low carbon hydrogen industry. Requirements: Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation engineering, or are a state-certified technician in the aforementioned areas. Softwares: Autocad, Office, SDPROJET, EPLAN Flexibility to work from our Codogno's office a couple of days per week upon request.
