HyDep Srl is highly specialized in the design, testing and certification of water electrolysis systems. The Company is set to grow, confirming its position on the market as engineering services and small-scale electrolyser provider and developing large-scale innovative electrolysis technology for the Group. The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of water electrolysis systems, overseeing all aspects related to electrical design. The Engineer will be responsible for producing bill of quantities and technical specifications for electrical products, as well as evaluate products and systems to ensure compliance with specifications and performance standards. Managing the technical procurement process, they will coordinate assembly processes and commissioning of electrical equipment, liaising with internal departments to ensure integrated project execution. Duties and Responsibilities: Produce bill of quantities and technical specifications for electrical products, including subsystems and components. Create electrical schematics, single line drawings, and field wiring diagrams. Evaluate electrical products and systems by designing and executing testing methods to ensure they meet required specifications and performance standards. Manage the technical procurement process, including preparation of RFQs, technical evaluation of vendor quotations, and follow-up on ordered electrical equipment. Monitor assembly processes and coordinate the commissioning of electrical equipment. Work closely with internal technical departments such as Process, Instrumentation to ensure integrated project execution. Support Sales and Technical Service departments with material cost estimations and specific electrical consultancy. Ensure all designs and activities comply with international codes and standards (e.g., CE, IEC, ATEX, EMC). Maintain adequate knowledge in the field and mentor team members on design and technical issues. Identify potential technical problems and risks early, suggesting corrective actions. Responsible for escalating issues to the appropriate management level and continually developing skills to meet current and future project demands. Experience: At least 8 years of specific experience in power distribution systems at engineering companies operating in the field of industrial plant design. Experience on rectifier systems is a plus; Experience with electrical calculations, basic knowledge of electrical LV or MV switchboards, Motors, Transformers, Drivers, Cable sizing. Knowledge of Hazardous Areas and of the most common electrical IEC standards; Knowledge of the renewable and low carbon hydrogen industry. Requirements: Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent Softwares: Autocad; Office; SDPROJET; EPLAN Flexibility to work from our Codogno's office a couple of days per week upon request.
