Engineering Manager - C#/.Net

Responsibilities : - Work closely with the Product management team and ensure alignment of business objectives. - Provide technical guidance throughout the product life cycle including design, implementation and delivery phases. - Oversee activities of direct reports (i.e., hiring, coaching, developing, appraising, rewarding, and motivating) to achieve goals through innovation, quality, and excellence - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enable successful integration and adoption. - Provide clear and concise expectations to engineering teams and stakeholders - Stay abreast of tools, technologies and industry developments relevant to the work of the teams. - Partners with peers in Engineering Management in achieving the goals outlined in the overall strategy and roadmaps - Deliver high-quality features, seek continuous improvement and enable rapid execution of the roadmap - Be accountable for the overall delivery of the project by proactively de-risking challenges What skills & experience you will bring? - To be successful in this position, you should have exceptional foresight, a solid engineering background, good leadership skills, and be pragmatic in your day-to-day operations. - You will have the knack for handling complexity with ease through matured decision-making and thoughtful leadership. - Ideally, you will have proof of your supervisory and engineering skills and an appreciation for building high-quality teams through trust, ownership, and empowerment. Qualifications : Academic background - Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience. Foundational Software skills - Should have started as a programmer and grown into technical management roles with at least 3 years of hands-on technical management with a minimum industry experience of 10-12 years. Core technical skills - Experience in building products with frontend technologies such as react/angular, graphql, and backend technologies .NET/C#, hosted on Azure/AWS is highly desirable. Other Software skills - Experience building cloud native SaaS applications, well-versed in API ecosystem, have high value for engineering best practices, software quality, continuous development and DevOps principles. Project management - Experience in Agile project management from planning to execution. Communication - Exposure to working with cross cultural and globally distributed teams, ensure transparency and set stakeholder expectations through clear and concise communication. Organizational skills - Should be comfortable navigating through uncertainties and guide the teams effectively, be purpose driven and a collaborative personality altogether. Career planning - Should take pride in setting up the engineers for success through proper guidance and career planning activities.
