Technical Lead - Oracle Database Administration

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Technical Lead Oracle Database Administration to oversee our database infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Database technologies, including Oracle RAC, performance tuning, and backup and recovery strategies. As a Technical Lead, you will play a critical role in architecting database solutions, mentoring team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive database-related initiatives. Key Responsibilities : - Manage, administer, and maintain Oracle databases, including Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC). - Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle Database software and components. - Design, implement, and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard). - Monitor database health, conduct performance tuning, and optimize SQL queries to ensure optimal system performance. - Configure and manage backup and recovery processes, leveraging tools like RMAN. - Implement database security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with industry standards. - Troubleshoot database-related issues, ensuring timely problem resolution and minimal downtime. - Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, and security teams to align database solutions with business requirements. - Document database configurations, architecture designs, operational procedures, and best practices. - Lead and mentor a team of database administrators, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to project deadlines. - Participate in strategic planning for database scalability, capacity planning, and future growth needs. Technical Skills Required : - Strong hands-on experience with Oracle 12c, 19c, and newer versions. - In-depth understanding and experience with Real Application Clusters (RAC) setup, administration, and troubleshooting. - Performance Tuning : Expertise in database performance analysis, query optimization, and indexing strategies. - Disaster Recovery : Proficient with Oracle Data Guard configuration and management. - Backup and restore strategies using RMAN. - Monitoring Tools : Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other monitoring solutions. - Automation : Knowledge of Shell scripting or Python for database automation and task scheduling. - Security and Compliance : Experience implementing encryption, auditing, access controls, and security best practices. - Cloud Platforms (Preferred) : Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and/or Oracle Exadata systems. Desirable Attributes : Certifications : - Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Oracle Database Administration. - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications (preferred). - Analytical Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting. - Leadership : Excellent team leadership and mentoring skills. - Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
