Test Engineering Specialist - Pega Applications

We are seeking an experienced Testing Engineering Specialist with a strong background in functional testing of Pega applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and functionality of Pega applications, working closely with both business and technical teams. The role demands a detail-oriented individual with deep understanding of Pega platforms and testing methodologies. Key Responsibilities : - Perform functional testing for Pega applications to ensure alignment with business requirements. - Execute test cases, document results, and ensure defects are logged, tracked, and resolved effectively. - Perform regression testing to ensure no new issues are introduced during enhancements or updates. - Work closely with Pega developers and business analysts to identify key business scenarios and test cases. - Act as a liaison between the testing team and the development team, ensuring proper defect tracking and resolution. - Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases for Pega applications, focusing on comprehensive functional coverage. - Execute manual and automated testing to ensure the successful deployment of high-quality applications. - Identify, document, and report defects found during testing and work with developers to ensure timely resolution. - Analyze defect trends and assist in identifying areas for improvement in the Pega application lifecycle. - Participate in the continuous improvement of testing processes and tools. - Recommend and implement best practices for testing Pega applications to improve overall testing efficiency and effectiveness. - Maintain thorough documentation of test scenarios, test cases, and test execution results. - Prepare detailed test reports summarizing testing outcomes, risk analysis, and : - A minimum of 6 years of experience in functional testing with a focus on Pega applications. - Strong experience in testing Pega BPM (Business Process Management) and Pega CRM applications. - Proficiency in Pega application modules, including but not limited to Pega BPM, Pega CRM, Pega Decisioning, and Pega Cloud. - Experience with Pega PRPC (Pega Rules Process Commander) platform and Pega testing tools. - Hands-on experience in manual and automated testing of Pega applications, with a strong understanding of testing tools such as Selenium or Junit. - Good knowledge of Agile methodologies and testing (Preferred) : - Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) or Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) is highly desirable. - Other relevant certifications in testing methodologies (e., ISTQB) are a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
