Automation Engineer - C#/Selenium

Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks using C# and Selenium WebDriver. - Analyze requirements, design documents, and user stories to determine automation test scope and strategy. - Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications, ensuring comprehensive test coverage. - Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing and early defect detection. - - Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate bug tracking systems. - Collaborate closely with development teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand system functionality and ensure testability. - Contribute to the development and improvement of automation testing standards, best practices, and guidelines. - Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and provide clear and concise reports to the team. - Participate in code reviews of automation scripts to ensure quality and adherence to standards. - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in automation testing tools and technologies. - Potentially mentor and guide junior automation engineers within the team. Required Skills & Experience : - 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience as an Automation Engineer. - Strong proficiency in C# programming language. - Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver for web automation. - Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). - Experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch or significantly enhancing existing ones. - Proven ability to write clear, concise, and well-documented automated test scripts. - Experience integrating automation tests with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps). - Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Azure Test Plans, Jira with Xray/Zephyr). - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Nice to Have (Optional) : - Experience with other automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress). - Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestSharp). - Knowledge of performance testing concepts and tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). - Experience with mobile automation (e.g., Appium). - Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP). - Experience working in an Agile development environment.
