Simple Logic - L3 Middleware Administrator - WebLogic/WebSphere

Role : Middleware Administrator (L3) We are looking for a seasoned Middleware Administrator (L3) to lead our middleware operations team at our Vikhroli, Mumbai office. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in WebLogic, WebSphere (WAS), and JBoss, along with prior experience in leading technical teams and managing middleware environments in enterprise-scale infrastructures. Key Responsibilities : - Lead and manage the Middleware L3 team, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring high availability and performance of middleware environments. - Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere (WAS), and Red Hat JBoss servers in a production environment. - Manage and optimize deployment processes, system tuning, patching, upgrades, and configuration changes. - Handle incident and problem management, root cause analysis, and escalation support for middleware-related issues. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams including developers, network engineers, and security teams to ensure middleware stability and efficiency. - Automate routine administration tasks using scripts and tools to improve system reliability and reduce manual overhead. - Maintain documentation related to middleware configurations, procedures, and best practices. - Ensure compliance with security policies and assist with audits, hardening, and vulnerability patching. Required Technical Skills : - Strong experience with Oracle WebLogic Server administration and deployment - Expertise in IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) - Hands-on experience with Red Hat JBoss EAP/WildFly - Middleware clustering, load balancing, failover, and high availability setups - Configuration and tuning of JVM, thread pools, connection pools, and application deployments - Experience with scripting (Shell, Python, WLST, Jython, etc.) - Troubleshooting performance issues and analyzing logs across middleware platforms - Understanding of SSL/TLS, certificates, keystores, and security configurations - Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Dynatrace, AppDynamics) Leadership & Soft Skills : - Proven team handling experience ability to mentor, lead, and coordinate efforts of junior admins - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Experience working in ITIL-based environments (incident, problem, and change management) - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - Proactive approach to problem-solving and performance optimization (ref:hirist.tech)
