Job Description
Cloud Architect The Role The Cloud Architect plays a crucial role in designing, building, and modernizing mission-critical technology systems. This role requires technical leadership, stakeholder management, and architectural expertise to deliver innovative cloud solutions. Cloud Architects work closely with clients, project executives, governance teams, and vendors to define and implement cloud strategies. From initial consultation to final delivery, this role is responsible for ensuring technical excellence, scalability, and security in cloud implementations. Key Responsibilities Serve as the technical lead in cloud transformation projects. Design and implement cloud architectures using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions . Work with stakeholders to define project requirements and translate them into cloud-based solutions. Oversee cloud adoption strategies, cloud governance, and security controls . Guide teams in DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation . Implement cloud monitoring, operations, and optimization strategies . Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices . Provide technical mentorship and leadership to engineering teams. Support multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud deployments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Required Skills and Experience 6 years of experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure engineering . Expertise in cloud solutions design and large-scale cloud transformation projects . Strong knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud technologies . Experience in DevSecOps, SRE, Agile, and cloud-native operations . Familiarity with cloud cost optimization (FinOps) and cloud security best practices . Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills . Expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Preferred Skills and Certifications Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Knowledge of API integration, network security, and storage solutions . Experience in regulatory compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, Financial Services, etc.). Expertise in Kubernetes solutions (GKE, AKS, EKS, OpenShift). Ability to optimize cloud services using FinOps and SRE principles . Benefits £100,000 - £118,000 Bonus
