Network Security Engineer

A leading logistics organisation is seeking a project-focussed Network Security Engineer to join their growing team. We’re looking for a Network Security Engineer who has proven experience in implementing, deploying, administering, and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless solutions, and firewalls. In addition to this, you will be managing Cisco-based network security (firewalls, VPNs, NAC) for peak reliability and performance, in addition to the other responsibilities below This is a project-focused role, so someone who has hands-on experience with Network Security projects like SGT’s, Azure Networking, and ICE Posturing is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Cisco Firepower, Cisco ISE and Cisco ASA Deploy and maintain network security infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, IDS/IPS). Manage Cisco-based systems, including firewalls, VPNs, and NAC. Assist with and manage Network Security projects like SGT’s, Azure Networking and ICE Posturing. Monitor traffic, troubleshoot issues, and enhance performance. Implement secure remote access and VPN solutions. Oversee PKI management and recommend security improvements. Collaborate with IT, Cybersecurity, and third-party vendors. What You’ll Bring: Experience working on Cisco Firepower and Cisco ISE Experience working on Network Security Projects Proven experience with network infrastructure and security protocols. Familiarity with IDS/IPS, cloud security, and encryption standards. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network are desirable.
