Head of Finance Near Glasgow Up to £65,000 Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days home) Based near Glasgow (you will need a car to travel to the office) Great newly created role for a Head of Finance in a very ambitious and well supported business We’re on the lookout for a commercially minded, qualified accountant to step into a pivotal Head of Finance role with a growing, ambitious business based just outside Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who’s ready to bring their expertise to the table, lead a small but capable finance team, and play a key role in shaping the financial future of a dynamic company. You’ll be joining at a crucial point in their growth journey – the business is performing well, with plans to scale further – and need someone sharp, hands-on, and commercially astute to ensure their financial strategy keeps pace. What you’ll be doing: Taking full ownership of the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls and processes are in place Leading month-end and year-end processes, management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting Providing clear, insightful financial analysis to support key strategic decisions Partnering with the leadership team to influence commercial performance and drive growth Managing external relationships (banks, auditors, advisors) with professionalism and confidence Coaching and developing a small team, creating a high-performing, collaborative finance environment What we’re looking for: Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS or equivalent) Proven experience in a commercial finance leadership role Strong business acumen and a natural ability to translate numbers into real-world insight Excellent communication skills – someone who can engage with both finance and non-finance stakeholders alike A proactive, hands-on approach – not afraid to roll up your sleeves when needed What’s on offer: Competitive salary – up to £65,000, depending on experience Hybrid working and flexible hours Supportive, forward-thinking leadership team Genuine scope to make your mark in a business that values initiative and innovation Please note there may be some UK travel - typically once a month to England for 1 overnight stay This is more than a numbers role – it’s an opportunity to shape strategy, influence growth, and be part of a business that’s going places.
