Contract Business Analyst | Financial Services | Hybrid – Sheffield (2 Days/Week) Are you a skilled Business Analyst with a deep understanding of equities and corporate actions ? We're working with a leading financial services client who’s looking for a sharp, detail-oriented analyst to join their team on a contract basis . Location: Sheffield (Hybrid – 2 days onsite) Duration: 6 months (with potential to extend) Sector: Financial Services IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Your Role: In this key role, you’ll be responsible for gathering and translating business requirements within the equities domain , with a particular focus on corporate actions . You’ll collaborate across operations, technology, and front-office teams to support change initiatives and deliver critical enhancements to platforms and processes. What You’ll Bring: Strong experience as a Business Analyst in financial services , ideally within investment banking or asset management . Solid understanding of the equities trading lifecycle . Proven knowledge of corporate actions (e.g., dividends, mergers, rights issues). Ability to work with stakeholders to elicit, challenge, and document clear business and functional requirements. Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal. Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments is a plus. ✨ Nice to Have: Exposure to regulatory change projects. Knowledge of post-trade operations and settlements . Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar. Ready to get started?
