Job Description
Job Title: Group Tax Analyst Role Overview: We are looking for a Group Tax Analyst to join a well-established in-house team to support the tax function across the EMEA region, focusing on both Direct and Indirect taxes. In this role, you will be responsible for managing tax reporting, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with other stakeholders to assess tax implications of operations and decisions. Key Responsibilities: Support the tax department in handling both compliance and advisory matters for the region. Manage the preparation and submission of VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales, and CT returns, ensuring timely and accurate filings. Lead efforts to enhance processes and improve efficiency, including implementing automation and leveraging technological solutions. Investigate and resolve any tax-related errors, offering solutions such as process adjustments or staff training. Assist with tax audits and communicate effectively with tax authorities as needed. Stay informed on changes in tax regulations and ensure the company complies with all relevant tax laws. Collaborate with internal teams to provide tax guidance and ensure proper reporting across business functions. Provide tax input for projects involving system updates, acquisitions, and the formation of new business entities. Maintain strong relationships with tax authorities and key internal stakeholders to proactively manage risks. Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP, is beneficial. Familiarity with tax compliance software like OneSource or Alpha tax is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in work. In-depth knowledge of CT and VAT regulations. Proficient in analysing large data sets, especially within spreadsheets. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Education and Qualifications: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Professional qualifications in accounting or tax are a plus. Experience in tax, especially in a fast-paced or regulated industry, would be beneficial.
