Role Description This is a hybrid role for a design manager within the wind energy sector to oversee the regulatory compliance of offshore wind projects. This is a hybrid role with home working available. Candidates should have 5 years experience from the wind energy sector in: managing design contracts & suppliers certification, control & review of documents experience of design of off shore wind facilities Key Responsibilities. Project Leadership: Lead the foundation design process for offshore wind projects, from initial concept through final design and construction. Technical Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of geotechnical and structural engineering to create designs that ensure stability, durability, and cost efficiency in challenging marine environments. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholdersincluding structural engineers, geotechnical experts, environmental specialists, and marine contractorsto ensure seamless project delivery. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs meet local, national, and international standards for offshore foundations, including those specific to the wind energy sector. Risk Management: Conduct detailed risk assessments and integrate mitigation strategies into design plans to address potential environmental, structural, and operational risks. Innovation and Optimization: Implement new technologies and design methodologies to enhance foundation efficiency and minimize the environmental impact of offshore wind structures. Project Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, design documentation, and project updates to keep stakeholders informed throughout project lifecycles. Description of the position, key responsibility, and tasks. Manage the operational and technical scope, including planning and execution of the package. Manage schedule with (sub)contractors. Develop risk and quality incorporations and act to continuously seek improvements. Manage and keep up to date risk matrix. Actively work together with other packages and solve interface related topics. Ensure that a high focus on quality and HSE are maintained within the package.
