Draughtsperson Roofing & Cladding Location: Oswestry, Shropshire Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (Dependent on Experience) Benefits: Company Vehicle, Phone, Laptop, 28 Days Annual Leave (Including Bank Holidays) My client, based in Oswestry, is a specialist in design and build, roofing, cladding services, and internal and external refurbishment projects across the commercial and industrial sectors. They are looking for an experienced Draughtsperson to join the team and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead design project delivery by producing and overseeing the creation of essential documentation, including: Shop drawings and coordination of detailed technical drawings with trade contractors. Roof plans, wall elevations, and material schedules in line with client and supplier specifications. Design programmes to ensure timely project execution. Provide on-site technical advice to installers to ensure the flawless implementation of roofing, cladding, faade, and rainscreen designs. Collaborate with architects and contractors to ensure drawings and designs meet project requirements. Review and provide technical feedback on engineers drawings, ensuring alignment with project specifications. Manage the design process to ensure it aligns with project goals and timelines. Conduct on-site surveys as required to ensure accuracy and completeness of designs. Required Skills: AutoCAD proficiency is essential, with Revit knowledge being preferred. At least 5 years of experience in roofing, cladding, faades, rainscreen, and building envelope solutions, including fabrication. Strong communication skills to build relationships across various disciplines, clients, and suppliers. A Full UK Driving License is required for on-site surveys and travel.
