Working as a key member of the Roads and Transportation Service you will assist in the delivery of one of the key functions of the service. You will work directly to the Senior Engineer – Road Maintenance delivering the team’s functions which include: design and implement works; road asset management; safety inspection; temporary traffic regulation orders; and other network management functions. Applicants are required to have an HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering or other appropriate professional discipline. In addition, applicants should have working knowledge of office software and specialist software such as AutoCAD and GIS and a full driving licence. Registration with the Engineering Council at Engineering Technician level or above, experience of roads and transportation, experience in local government and a working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation are all desirable.
