Rotation Chief Engineer 70m new build sailing yacht

CHIEF ENGINEER- New build 65m sailing yacht Two motivated and Chief Engineers are sought for an exciting and innovative new build sailing yacht which will launch late 2025. This is a unique build in that there will be no diesel engine on board and the yacht will be powered by batteries and solar. The positions will be 10:10 rotational. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an evolving project that will push the boundaries of yacht design. ● Y1 or Y2 MCA Chief Engineer certificate is preferable but not necessary. ● Proven experience with the management and maintenance of 700V DC electrical generation and regeneration, safety and compliance protocols to ensure the smooth operation of the systems ● Experience with fully electric propulsion systems is desirable ● Knowledge of IT control systems is essential ● Meticulous attention to detail and record keeping ● Team player ethos essential to success ● Calm under pressure ● Sailing background is beneficial ● Fluency in English is a must Yachts program: ● Launch 2025 ● Re-location to the Med for further sea trials in the Fall of 2025 ● 2026 Worldwide active sailing program Package: ● Industry leading salary ● 10 weeks on/off rotational employment ● Annual performance review ● Continuing education and training assistance ● Crew medical insurance benefit ● Flight allowance
