Operations & Scheduling Supervisor

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic organization that plays a significant role in the local and international travel industry. My client is seeking an experienced Operations & Scheduling Supervisor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the forward planning and daily scheduling of a fleet of over 100 vehicles, ensuring smooth operations and quick response to operational challenges such as breakdowns, last-minute bookings, and staff availability. This role also involves managing related administrative processes and providing strong support to the wider operations team, including handling disciplinary procedures where required. Minimum Requirements: Matric (Grade 12) Own, reliable transport Valid Code B Drivers License Flexibility to work varied hours as operationally required Availability for weekly standby duties on a rotating schedule Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Minimum of 5 years experience in scheduling a fleet of at least 30 vehicles with dynamic and irregular daily schedules Proven experience initiating and managing disciplinary procedures Strong ability to interpret fuel usage analysis Competency in interpreting vehicle utilization data Personal Attributes: Ability to maintain focus and accuracy under pressure Proactive, service-driven approach with a strong commitment to operational excellence Ability to remain focused in a busy, open-plan environment Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively Well-developed administrative and organizational capabilities High attention to detail and accuracy
