Job Description: The Risk Manager plays a key role in developing and implementing risk management strategies across the VKB Group. This role ensures the identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial and operational risks, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and the cultivation of a risk-aware culture within the organisation. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Law, or a related field Relevant qualifications in risk management or related disciplines Minimum 5 years experience in financial risk management across diverse industries (agriculture, insurance, corporate, finance) At least 3 years in a senior managerial or leadership role Proven experience with compliance, governance, and risk frameworks Proficient in both Afrikaans and English Valid Drivers License Willingness to travel Key Duties & Responsibilities: Develop and implement group-wide risk management and mitigation strategies Monitor and evaluate risk exposure across all departments Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance standards Promote and embed a risk-aware culture across the organisation Provide guidance and support to executive management on risk-related matters Prepare detailed reports for management and Board committee Key Skills: Critical thinking Analytical thinking Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) High attention to detail Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
