Financial Modeller

Our client, a P roject Advisory and Development Company providing consulting services across various infrastructure and project finance transactions is looking to hire a Financial Modeller , based in Durban The Financial Modeller will be responsible for building and developing transaction financial models for both the private and public sector infrastructure and project finance initiatives. The ideal candidate be involved in all aspects of creating and maintaining a range of financial models Duties and Responsibilities: D evelop and maintain appropriate financial models meeting the requirements of investors, sponsors, financiers and/ or procuring agencies as the case may be; R eview, manage and amend existing financial models; P repare various reports and presentations, specifically in support of the financial models prepared or reviewed; P erform ad hoc analysis using financial models and/or various datasets (e.g. data analysis, trend analysis); A ssist in marking up and preparing various reports and agreements, where applicable using the inputs and results from the financial model; A ttend various meetings and interact with clients, lenders, investors, financiers, operations contractors, construction contractors, engineers, legal advisors or government agencies as may be required in relation to the project and related arrangements ; D evelop the Company's financial modelling competencies; A ssist with new business development e.g. tenders; and Assist with general project management as may be required. Minimum Requirements: Education and Experience: Bachelor of Business Science (BBusSc) or B.Com degree in financial mathematics, accounting or statistics with a desire to move into a direction of project and infrastructure finance or BEng (Engineering) that is financially inclined CFA / FMVA or CFI qualification beneficial 3 to 5 years' experience in project finance / corporate finance or private equity Strong financial modelling skills, with an eye for accuracy numerical proficiency Knowledge and Skills: Analytically rigorous and detail oriented particularly with regards to numerical analysis Problem solving oriented Ability to work on own initiative and take accountability for own actions Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (proficiency in VBA desirable), Word & PowerPoint
