3 weeks ago Be among the first 25 applicants Responsibilities As a Data Scientist in TikTok's Trust and Safety team, you will be instrumental in ensuring that TikTok remains a safe, trustworthy, and risk-free environment. You will diagnose, triage, and treat large-scale safety issues using your domain knowledge. Your tasks include scoping projects, leveraging ground-truth data to inform strategies, and developing heuristics to proactively detect and disarm safety incidents. You will collaborate with stakeholders across product, operations, policy, and engineering teams globally. Responsibilities include: Driving business development through analysis, industry studies, and market trend evaluations; Refining and upgrading the global content safety system and building data solutions for large-scale operations; Using operational data analysis to develop strategies for resource allocation, cost management, personnel management, and quality assurance, while creating reusable analytical tools; Partnering with the global Trust and Safety team to provide insights, recommend actions, and guide business strategy. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, or related fields, with a solid foundation in statistical and data mining theories; Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Excel, and Tableau for data analysis; 3-5 years of experience as a data scientist, with understanding of customer support and outsourcing management in global products; Experience working with cross-functional and international teams, with effective communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to understand industry technology trends and apply macro analysis and decision-making skills; Experience in content safety and managing large-scale outsourcing data operations; Experience in coaching team members; Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and emotional self-care.
