Product Owner

About the role: We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst/Product Owner to join our team and play a key role in the development of a new SaaS product in the healthcare IT security space! Experience required: 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in software development projects. Hands-on experience working with Data Science or ML engineering teams . Solid understanding of data science project lifecycles , microservices, and event-driven architectures. Strong documentation and analysis skills using tools such as JIRA , UML diagrams, BPMN, and wireframes. Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills—comfortable collaborating across stakeholders. Familiarity with UX principles , software development lifecycle (SDLC), and QA/testing processes. Ability to understand data models , analyze reports, and identify process improvements. English fluency at Upper-Intermediate level or above (written and verbal). Skills and Abilities: Expertise in business analysis , system analysis , process optimization , and requirements gathering. Ability to create clear documentation (English writing, diagrams, UML, BPMN). Strong attention to detail and logical thinking. Good understanding of UX/UI principles . Experience working with Jira and managing backlogs. Ability to define Acceptance Criteria and work closely with development teams. Strong communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills. Upper-intermediate English (written and spoken). Proactive, highly organized, and customer-focused approach. Nice-to-have skills: Background in the healthcare domain or enterprise-level environments. Technical foundation (understanding of programming principles, database design, etc.) Experience supporting pre-sales activities or leading client workshops. Job Responsibilities: Act as the Product Owner for our Imprivata Analytics product, working closely with Data Science, ML Engineering, and Application teams. Collaborate with Product Management to define product vision, align goals, and prioritize team backlogs. Write and refine epics, features, and user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria. Facilitate and attend agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and stand-ups. Ensure backlog grooming and prioritization align with business and user needs. Analyze and document business requirements , data flows, and system processes (UML, BPMN). Support custom report creation and troubleshooting within the analytics interface.
