LINUX Administrator This position requires a person having 4 to 7 years of experience in the given technology areas. The key competencies should include excellent knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and/or CentOS. Candidate should be able to quickly understand and resolve issues, mitigate risks and analyze dependencies. Candidate should also demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Compulsory Skills RHEL and/or CentOS system administration LVM and DM-Multipath YUM/DNF/RPM package management User/Group management Performance monitoring and troubleshooting Troubleshooting hardware and software issues TCP/IP terminology and concepts Network Configuration with Network Manager Network Services such as SSH, FTP, SMTP Network Troubleshooting with tools such as tcpdump, ping, nmap, traceroute and netcat Experience with SAN and NAS storage. Network Authentication and Authorization tools such as LDAP or Centrify/AD Creating, maintaining and debugging scripts in BASH, Perl, or Python. Veritas Info Scale Enterprise including VxVM, VxFS and VCS. Experience working in a DevOps/Agile environment Adhering to change and incident management Preferred Skills: Legacy UNIX flavors such as Solaris, HPUX or AIX Virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V Kubernetes frameworks such as Red Hat OpenShift or VMware Tanzu Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP. Backup products such as Actifio or IBM Spectrum Protect (formerly TSM) Disaster Recovery using products such as VMware SRM or Veritas Resiliency Platform Automation frameworks such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Salt Stack or Terraform Hands on Experience of developing Automation/ using Ansible Benefits: Direct Hiring, 100% payroll mode.
