Role Overview: The candidate will lead automation initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, including local experts and central support functions, to transform STMicroelectronics designated campuses into lights-out factories through automation. Responsibilities: Reporting: Reports to the Factory Robotics Automation Director (Hybrid). Location: Primary location based in Singapore. Program Support: Support the Company Sites lights-out automation program, from substrate to final test. Lights-Out Model Includes: Autonomous material handling for intra-logistics and last-mile delivery. Autonomous manufacturing floor automated scheduling and line balancing. Digital twin-enabled factory design and simulation for decision-making. AI and analytics for real-time abnormality detection and automated disposition. Remote control, RPA-AI-OCR-IoT projects as solution enablers. Operational Alignment: As an FBO (Finance & Business Operations) member, ensure solutions align with QMT Fabs pilots and deliver immediate benefits. Collaboration: Work with various departments to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives by automating manual and repetitive processes. Development: Develop and maintain applications in collaboration with internal team members and external consultants. Requirements Analysis: Collect and analyze user requirements, design solutions to meet new requirements, and liaise with key users, business teams, and external suppliers during the design and development phases. Support: Provide support for solutions/applications deployed to production and assist the local team with automation suppliers/stakeholders. Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in Robotics, Mechatronics, or Computer Science. Experience: At least five years of relevant experience in managing and successfully delivering Factory Robotics Automation projects, with a total project value of at least USD 1 million. Industry: At least eight years of relevant experience in Semiconductor Industry. Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in system integration of Robotics, Digitalization, and AI. Skills: Proficiency in Project Management and Vendor Management. Strong Business Communication skills. Willingness to travel up to 30% upon job requirement. Technical Knowledge: Discrete Event Simulation (Anylogic / Flexsim). Software/Programming Languages/Scripting: C#.NET, VB.NET, Python, PHP, SQL, Java, AutoCAD, SketchUp. Relational Databases: SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle. Markup Languages: XML, HTML, CSS. Other technologies: AJAX, JSON, UML, ASP.NET. Understanding of Object-Oriented design concepts. Familiarity with Source Management systems. Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems. Hands-on experience in electronics design and troubleshooting.
