We are seeking a SCADA and Cyber security specialist to support our Operations team under the supervision of the O&M Monitoring & Optimization Team Leader for the entire Italian portfolio. The specialist will be responsible for a broad array of power plant projects throughout their lifecycle, providing the necessary technical leadership and support to ensure project success. This role is crucial for managing local workstreams related to SCADA, networking, and cybersecurity, supporting our SCADA and Cyber retrofit programs, and the integration of new assets post-construction and acquisition. The SCADA and Cyber security specialist will support local operations and align with the global team to adhere to guidelines and ensure compliance with our SCADA and Cybersecurity requirements. The SCADA and Cyber security specialist will be responsible for: Review the SCADA, Networking and CCTV solution designs provided by system supplier to ensure the complains with company requirements for new construction. Review the implementation of the SCADA, Networking and CCTV solution and support on site commissioning of Monitoring Hardware, IT network and Infrastructure for plants in construction as well for the integration of new assets. Support the retrofit/renovation of the SCADA and Networking infrastructure of the existing power plants to achieve company targets. Support the integration/onboarding of new construction and acquired power plants into the centralized monitoring platform and cyber security framework. Support and improve the SCADA and Networking solution requirements of power plants to increase effectiveness and competitiveness. Support the existing data infrastructure and identify potential issue or required improvement to keep a secure data flow from the power plant to our central infrastructure. Maintain the SCADA and networking asset register for accurate tracking and documentation, managing the relevant contractors, involving the team and leading the process if necessary. Update and audit regularly, ensuring data security, in collaboration with cross-functional teams, incorporating best practices and new technologies. Key Competencies Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field is required, with a master’s degree preferred. The ideal candidate should have: Experience and knowledge of SCADA and networking system design, including SCADA system architecture, OT networks, and components such as servers, dataloggers, RTUs, PLCs, Protocol Gateways, IO converters, SCADA software, routers, modems, VPNs, etc. Experience as a project engineer in the implementation and commissioning of SCADA, networking, and communication systems for utility-scale renewable power plants. Familiarity with technical drawings and specifications. Experience in the renewables industry (preferably Solar, Wind, and Storage). Experience with software and cloud services, such as N3uron IoT, Ignition, AWS, or Azure. Strong background in modern SCADA integration and protocols (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, Sparkplug, SFTP, REST API). Knowledge of industrial networking and protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, OPCUA, DNP3, IEC102, IEC104 among others. Subject matter expert on Cyber Security on protecting IT, OT, and IP networks, such as IPSec VPNs, Firewalls, SIEM, IPS/IDS, AV/EDR solutions, LDAP/AD, etc. Privileged Access Management and related tools Vulnerability and Compliance Management; DDOS protection Hands on experience of Cyber Security engineering and design of cloud solutions (such as AWS, Azzure, etc), including open-source tools, DevOps and automation capabilities to enhance the cyber defence, (such as Zabbix, ELK, Grafana, Netbox, Netmiko, Ansible, Alienvault, OpenVas, etc.) Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, IEC 62443, NIST. Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, GICSP).
