Oracle DB & Amazon RDS Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Oracle & AWS RDS DBA to manage database administration in a production environment. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Oracle DBA and AWS RDS, along with secondary skills in PostgreSQL, MySQL, and automation. Roles and Responsibilities : - Administer Oracle and AWS RDS databases in a production environment. - Install and manage Oracle standalone & RAC databases from scratch. - Perform RAC database installation, troubleshooting, backup, restore, and standby creation. - Execute manual and DBUA upgrades for Oracle standalone & RAC databases. - Apply patches for Oracle standalone & RAC databases. - Conduct performance tuning using tools like OEM, AWR, ADDM, ASH, SQL Tuning Advisor, SQL Access Advisor, SQL Profile, SQL Baseline, and Resource Management. - Manage AWS RDS, EC2, S3, instance migration/upgradation, RDS snapshot/cloning/restoration. - Handle AWS VPC security and DMS. - Work with Datapump, RMAN clone, and Transportable Tablespace. - Perform schema and tablespace management. - Troubleshoot database-related issues on Linux and Windows OS. - Automate database administration tasks using Shell scripts, Jenkins, and Python. - Utilize secondary skills in PostgreSQL, MySQL, Neo4j, DocumentDB, and DynamoDB (preferred). - Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and utilize JIRA for task management. Skills and Qualifications Required : - Primary Skills : Oracle DBA, AWS RDS DBA - Secondary Skills : PostgreSQL, MySQL, Automation (Shell scripts, Jenkins, Python) - Experience in database upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning. - Strong communication and customer-handling skills. - ITIL process knowledge is a plus.
