Java Developer - Microservices Architecture

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead II - Java Microservices to join our Agile team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing healthcare applications while ensuring best coding practices and architectural integrity. You will drive technical excellence, mentor team members, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications using Java Microservices. - Apply Object-Oriented Design (OOD) methodologies and design patterns to build robust solutions. - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while adhering to best practices in configuration management and code refactoring. - Conduct and facilitate peer reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to design principles. - Architect comprehensive solution designs that align with business objectives and ensure scalability. - Lead task breakdowns within the team to optimize project execution. - Play an active role in release management, ensuring smooth deployment and delivery. - Utilize strong algorithm and data structure skills to build optimized solutions. - Proactively identify and resolve bugs to maintain system stability. - Implement Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Test-Driven Development (TDD). - Ensure compliance with Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) policies. - Assist in the preparation of release documents to ensure clarity and accuracy. - Engage with customers to understand requirements and propose effective solutions. - Oversee technical aspects of production readiness, performance tuning, and optimization. - Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement. - Foster a collaborative team environment with strong leadership and communication skills. Qualifications & Skills : Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience : 7 years of experience in Java development with Microservices architecture. - Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices. - Proficiency in database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.). - Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket). - Hands-on experience with performance tuning and security best practices. - Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and other regulatory requirements in healthcare technology is a plus. - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. - Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Preferred : - Certification in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging queues. (ref:hirist.tech)
