SAP HANA DB Administrator

Roles & Responsibilities : - SAP HANA DB Administration Proficiency : Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in all aspects of SAP HANA database administration, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, backup and recovery, security, and monitoring. - Database Management & Optimization : Possess a strong and comprehensive understanding of database management principles, methodologies, and optimization techniques specific to SAP HANA. - Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting : Lead and execute complex performance tuning and troubleshooting activities on SAP HANA databases, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. - SAP HANA Architecture & Best Practices : Exhibit deep knowledge of SAP HANA architecture (in-memory, columnar store, etc.) and a strong understanding of SAP's best practices for HANA database management and operation. - SAP HANA Studio & Tools : Be highly proficient in utilizing SAP HANA Studio and other related SAP HANA administration and monitoring tools. - SME & Team Leadership: Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP HANA DB administration, providing guidance and expertise to the team and wider organization. - Collaboration & Team Management : Effectively collaborate with and manage the team to perform all necessary SAP HANA database administration tasks efficiently and effectively. - Team Decision Responsibility : Take ownership and responsibility for team decisions related to SAP HANA database administration and strategy. - Cross-Team Engagement : Engage proactively with multiple teams across the organization, contributing valuable insights and expertise to key technical decisions involving SAP HANA. - Problem Solving & Solution Provision : Provide effective and timely solutions to complex problems not only for the immediate team but also across multiple teams that rely on SAP HANA. - Mentorship & Guidance : Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering their technical growth and development in SAP HANA administration. - Code Review & Quality Assurance : Conduct thorough code reviews of HANA-related scripts and configurations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best Information : - The candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in SAP HANA DB Administration. - The role requires an individual who can function as an SME, capable of collaborating with and managing the team to achieve optimal performance. - The individual will be accountable for team decisions related to SAP HANA database administration. - Active engagement with multiple teams and significant contribution to key technical decisions involving SAP HANA are expected. - The ability to provide effective solutions to problems for both the immediate team and across multiple dependent teams is crucial. - Strong leadership skills to mentor and guide junior team members are essential. - Conducting code reviews and ensuring the overall quality of HANA-related work is a key responsibility.
