Reve - RHEL & JBOSS Deployment Specialist - System Configuration

Job Overview : We are seeking a seasoned RHEL and JBoss Deployment Specialist to assist in platform migrations, performance tuning, and configuration of JBoss EAP 8.x in a mission-critical enterprise environment. This role requires deep expertise in application server migrations, scripting, and performance optimization, with a strong understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and the JBoss Responsibilities : - Assist in migrating applications from platforms such as WebLogic/WebSphere to JBoss EAP 8.x. - Analyze and refactor application code using Migration Toolkit for Applications (MTA) or equivalent tools for migration from JBoss 7.x/WebLogic/WebSphere to JBoss 8.x. - Support namespace migration from javax to jakarta and JDK upgrades from Oracle JDK/OpenJDK 8/11/15 to JDK 17/21. - Conduct application performance tuning and load testing. - Configure tuning parameters including JVM, OS, and network settings for optimal performance. - Troubleshoot and provide guidance on issues related to JBoss JWS (JBoss Web Server). - Offer architectural recommendations and best practices for subsystems like Elytron (Security), Undertow (Web Server), Data Sources, and Messaging. - Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks. - Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of enterprise applications. - Work on-site with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of Skills Required : - Strong experience in JBoss EAP 7.x/8.x deployment and configuration - Proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) - Experience with application server migrations (WebLogic/WebSphere to JBoss) - Familiarity with Migration Toolkit for Applications (MTA) - Experience with JDK upgrades (8/11/15 to 17/21) - Knowledge of Jakarta EE and Java EE (Namespace migrations: javax to jakarta) - Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, etc.) - Good understanding of JVM tuning, OS-level tuning, and network configuration - Hands-on experience with JBoss subsystems: Elytron, Undertow, Data Sources, Messaging - Knowledge of load testing and performance tools - Familiarity with JBoss Web Server (JWS) configuration and Qualifications : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field - Strong communication and problem-solving skills - Ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment (ref:hirist.tech)
