Tejas Networks - Principal Engineer - Wireless Operations

Responsibilities : - Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for wireless Layer 2 development projects. - Influence engineering practices and standards to ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. - Provide expert guidance and mentorship to senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence. - Lead the development and delivery of wireless products, encompassing planning, requirement analysis, design, implementation, validation, verification, and field testing. - Analyze and prioritize features for various subsystems to ensure synchronized system delivery in a phased manner. - Collaborate closely with other teams and partners to facilitate system integration and user acceptance testing. - Drive continuous improvement of system performance and ensure the delivery of high-quality products. - Design and implement LTE MAC Scheduler and other Layer 2 functionalities. - Develop and maintain robust and efficient Layer 2 software components. - Ensure adherence to 3GPP specifications and standards. - Work with Layer 1 and Layer 3 teams to ensure proper interface functionality. - Analyze and resolve complex real-time issues using advanced debugging techniques. - Perform in-depth log file analysis to identify and troubleshoot system problems. -Optimize system performance and identify areas for improvement. Mandatory Skills : - Extensive hands-on experience in LTE MAC Scheduler development and 3GPP Layer 2 design and implementation. - In-depth knowledge of 3GPP specifications, particularly Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols. - Strong understanding of Layer 1-Layer 2 and Layer 2-Layer 3 interfaces. - Proficiency in networking protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP. - Proven experience in debugging complex real-time issues and performing detailed log file analysis. - Strong coding skills in C/C++. Desired Skills : - Familiarity with technologies such as MAC, RLC, PDCP, QoS Scheduling, SPS, TTI Bundling, Link Adaptation, GTP-C, and GTP-U. Preferred Qualifications : - 15-18 years of experience in the telecommunications or networking industry. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent degree.
