Your voice matters here As an outsourcing partners, we are hiring Data Engineer to work on a project for our client, which is the largest provider of telecoms and mobile money services in 14 countries spanning Sub-Saharan, Central, and Western Africa Job Details : Experience required : 3-6 years for experience in Data engineering. Qualification : BE/B.Tech in computer stream. Location : Gurugram (WFO) Notice Period : Immediate- to 15 days (Candidates with notice period of- more than 30 days are not preferred). Responsibilities : -Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL. - Implement and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to efficiently move data from various sources (databases, APIs, files, etc.) to our data warehouse. - Monitor and optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and data quality. - Write complex and efficient SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis. - Contribute to the design and optimization of database schemas for efficient data storage and retrieval. - Perform database performance tuning and troubleshoot database-related issues. - Develop Python scripts and applications to automate data processing and analysis tasks. - Utilize Python libraries (Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, PySpark) for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis. - Implement distributed and multithreaded programming techniques in Python to enhance data processing capabilities. - Work effectively in a Linux/Unix environment for data management and system administration tasks. - Utilize command-line tools and scripting to automate data manipulation and system operations. - Apply strong debugging skills to identify and resolve issues within data pipelines and systems. - Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective solutions to prevent recurring issues. - Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering. - Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new tools and techniques to improve our data infrastructure and processes. - Contribute to code reviews, and enforcing coding standards. - Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver data solutions that meet business requirements. Mandatory Skills : - Strong proficiency in Python programming. - Expertise in SQL and relational databases. Required Skills : - 3-6 years of experience in a data engineering role. - Proven ability to develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes. - Experience with ETL tools. - Strong understanding of database design and optimization principles. - Proficiency in working within a Linux/Unix environment. - Ability to develop and optimize Python and SQL code for distributed and multithreaded programming. - Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Preferred Skills : - Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop). - Experience with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery). - Experience with CI/CD pipelines. - Experience with data modeling. Qualifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 3-6 years of relevant experience in data engineering. - Proven experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
