Tandem Developer

Responsibilities : - Develop, maintain, and enhance applications running on the HP NonStop server platform. - Write and debug code using languages specific to HP NonStop (e.g., COBOL, TAL, C, C++). - Utilize HP NonStop tools and utilities for development and debugging. - Work with HP NonStop database systems (e.g., NonStop SQL). - Leverage mainframe experience to understand and work with complex, high-transaction systems. - Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications for HP NonStop applications. - Participate in system design and architecture discussions. - Analyze existing systems and identify areas for improvement. - Design and implement new features and functionalities. - Create and maintain technical documentation. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to HP NonStop applications. - Provide support for production systems and ensure system availability. - Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, testers, and system administrators. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates and technical guidance. - Participate in code reviews. Required Skills and Experience : - 4-9 years of overall IT experience. - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Tandem/HP NonStop server technology. - Strong programming skills in languages commonly used on HP NonStop (COBOL, TAL, C, C++). - Experience with HP NonStop database systems (NonStop SQL). - Solid understanding of mainframe concepts and technologies. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - - Experience with debugging tools. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with HP NonStop Pathway. - Knowledge of HP NonStop security and performance tuning. - Experience with modern development practices and tools. - Experience with agile development.
