Job Description
Role : Product Manager. Location : Remote. Operating Hours : 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM EST. Role Overview : As a Senior Product Manager (PM) reporting directly to the CEO, you will drive the development of. the analytics and trading components of our platform. Your mission is to transform customer insights into compelling workflow automations and features that our clients will pay for. The MBS industry still relies heavily on phone and email, creating tremendous opportunities to replace manual workflows with technology. You will gather and refine requirements in collaboration with our trade desk, build prototypes with our UX designer, and create high-level process flows. Through rapid iterations using techniques like screen sharing and tight collaboration with customers, our trade desk, and developers, you will deliver robust, value-adding solutions in a matter of weeks. We follow an accelerated Kanban approach, emphasizing early alignment and leveraging the unique expertise of traders, UX designers, and senior programmers. Throughout this iterative process, constant validation from both customers and our internal trade desk ensures we build the right features that drive adoption. Key aspects of this role include : - Cross-functional coordination : Work closely with customers, stakeholders, developers, and internal teams to collect feedback, drive wireframing, prototyping, and successful implementation. - On-the-fly communication : Conduct impromptu calls and meetings with customers and team members to clarify requirements and gain quick consensus. - Investigative approach : Act as an "investigative journalist," uncovering root customer pain points and framing them so developers can implement effective solutions. - Process orientation : Every feature or improvement is part of a broader workflow; you'll ensure each dialogue starts with defining business outcomes, then clarifying responsibilities. - Hands-on leadership : Lead by example-own specific platform topics, assist with customer support issues, and remain fully accountable for new workflow automations. - This includes partnering with sales, the trade desk, and managing relationships with customers. Responsibilities : - Create products that sell by validating new features with at least two paying customers. - Handle complex support requests that require deep platform and business expertise. - Demonstrate platform adoption through a robust product pipeline and hands-on engagement. - Manage and grow product-related teams (Customer Support, Data Operations, Development, Business Analysis), improving processes and mentoring direct reports. - Contribute to the product roadmap to align features with market needs and company goals. Key Deliverables(Year 1) : - Three perfected workflows with at least two paying users each, plus market adoption of eight additional workflows (currently in MVP) through collaboration with other PMs. - A top-tier customer support process that sets an industry standard. - Profitability in the product division (operating as a cost center). Qualifications : - 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Manager, ideally in the capital markets industry. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or another technical field. - Prior experience with coding (in any language) and SQL. - Excellent communication skills to engage a wide range of stakeholders-prospects, technical contacts, users, sales teams, executives, developers, and vendors. - Experience developing B2B user interfaces, data interfaces, and operational processes. - Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to think through edge cases and translate complex rules into clear requirements. - If you're ready to drive innovation, transform manual workflows into scalable solutions, and lead cross functional teams in a rapidly evolving market, we'd love to hear from you.
