Associate Senior Operations Analyst - File Transfer Services

Responsibilities : - Monitor and manage file transfer processes using tools like Control Center and COSMO. - Troubleshoot and resolve file transfer issues, including connectivity, encoding, and scheduling problems. - Ensure timely and accurate file delivery according to established SLAs. - Implement and maintain file transfer security policies and procedures. - Provide technical support for file transfer protocols (Connect Direct, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, EBICS). - Analyze and resolve data encoding issues (ASCII, EBCDIC, HEXIDECIMAL, BINARY). - Troubleshoot file compression and encryption issues. - Diagnose and resolve endianness issues (Little Endian, Big Endian, Bi-Endian). - Investigate and resolve issues related to file size units (KB, MB, GB, TB, PB). - Manage file constructs and file systems for Windows, Linux, and z/OS platforms. - Utilize scheduling software (CA7, Control-M) to automate and manage file transfer processes. - Optimize scheduling configurations for efficiency and performance. - Manage certificate and key management for TLS and SSH protocols. - Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards. - Implement and maintain secure file transfer configurations. - Configure and manage file transfer software (Connect Direct, Sterling Integrator). - Utilize productivity tools (G-Suite, IBM Control Desk, Jira, Changepoint) for issue tracking, documentation, and communication. - Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles. - Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation. - Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows. - Optimize file transfer configurations for performance and efficiency. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders. - Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. - - Provide regular status updates and reports. Technical Skills : Required : - Strong understanding of file constructs and file systems (Windows, Linux, z/OS). - Proficiency in data encoding (ASCII, EBCDIC, HEXIDECIMAL, BINARY). - Knowledge of file size units (KB, MB, GB, TB, PB). - Experience with file compression and encryption tools and techniques. - Understanding of endianness (Little Endian, Big Endian, Bi-Endian). - Experience with file transfer protocols (Connect Direct, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, EBICS). - Understanding of peer-to-peer and client-server protocols. - Experience with file transfer monitoring tools (Control Center, COSMO). - Experience with file transfer software (Connect Direct, Sterling Integrator). - Experience with scheduling software (CA7, Control-M). - Knowledge of certificate and key management for TLS and SSH. - Proficiency in productivity tools (G-Suite, IBM Control Desk, Jira, Changepoint). Preferred : - Scripting experience (e.g., shell scripting, Python). - Experience with cloud-based file transfer services. - Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to data transfer. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 5 years of experience in file transfer operations or a related field. - Proven experience in managing and supporting file transfer services. - Strong understanding of file transfer protocols and technologies.
